About the Workshop:

How is artificial intelligence transforming the independent filmmaking landscape? And how can producers, directors, and creatives engage with these tools without getting lost in technical jargon?

Join seasoned Finnish producer Aleksi Hyvärinen for a candid, tool-agnostic workshop that explores the creative and ethical dimensions of AI in cinema. Tailored for professional filmmakers with little or no prior AI experience, this session is not about coding or mastering platforms—it’s about understanding the implications of AI through real-world cases, industry insights, and collective conversation.

Participants will get an introductory peek into tools like ChatGPT, Google Veo, and Kling, and learn how filmmakers are already integrating AI into their workflows—from concept development to post-production. Drawing from his own experiences and collaborations, Aleksi offers a grounded producer’s perspective on how to navigate this fast-changing terrain with intention and imagination.

Target Audience: Directors, Editors, Producers, VFX Artists, Colorists, Graphic Designer
