About the Workshop:

A comprehensive workshop on film criticism and analysis offers an enlightening journey into the world of cinema, tailored for professional and young journalists eager to delve deeper into the art and technique of film critique. Spanning two dynamic sessions, the online workshop, where participants are introduced to the fundamentals of film criticism, the language of cinema, and essential analysis techniques through engaging discussions and practical exercises. The physical second part is where participants apply their skills in a practical setting, exploring different film genres and refining their critique through writing and group discussions.

Rasha Hosni

Rasha, is an Egyptian film critic, programmer, script editor and producer. She is a key programmer at Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF). Also, she is an associate programmer at Tribeca Film Festival (TFF).

Rasha studied Egyptology, then she obtained a Film Criticism Diploma in 2018.

Rasha has been a Golden Globe Awards international voter since 2022, also she has served on the FIPRESCI jury for the 2023 Locarno International Film Festival, 2022 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, the 2017 Berlin International Film Festival, and the 2019 Rotterdam International Film Festival, where she was also a part of the Critics' Choice Program in 2020.

As a producer, She produced her first short film, "Two Strangers, A Night," while simultaneously working on her first feature film, "Seeking Haven For Mr. Rambo," which has participated in many renowned development labs and financing forums and is currently in the post-production phase.
