About the Workshop:
The workshop will draw a map of major film festivals in the world for short films and long features (Fiction, documentary, animation). We will raise many topics and questions: how to develop a strategy to attend them with or without a film, the question of world and international premiere, how to work with or without a sales agent attached, how festival programmers work. Then, we will draw a regional and worldwide map of film markets, workshops and labs, and will answer some questions: why they have been created, why those events are important in producers and filmmakers' carrier developments, which strategy to develop, do and don't. Throughout the workshop, we will detail many concrete examples of festivals and international markets' programs.
Target Audience: Directors, Producers, Line Producers, Film Students, Impact Producers
