After the sudden death of her husband, Nawal is struggling to cope with the upheaval in her life. Her pain is soon compounded by the possibility of losing her home to her brother-in-law. Desperate to keep her home and provide a stable life for her daughter, Nawal resorts to deception by faking a pregnancy. As time passes, the lie becomes harder to sustain and Nawal faces a difficult choice. With only three weeks to find a solution, Nawal embarks on a journey that challenges her fears, beliefs, and morality, as she fights to secure her rightful inheritance and protect her daughter’s future.
Amjad Al-Rasheed, a Jordanian director and writer born in 1985, has an MFA in Cinematic Arts with a concentration in Directing and Editing. In 2016, he was selected by Screen International as one of five Arab Stars of Tomorrow, highlighting the up-and-coming young talents of the region.
Al-Rasheed also attended the Talent Campus during the 57th Berlinale, after which he directed short films that garnered nominations and won prizes at various Arab and international film festivals.

تدخل نوال في حالة حداد بعد صدمة وفاة زوجها المفاجئة التي تزعزع استقرار عائلتها المكونة منها هي وابنتها الصغيرة، ولكنها تضطر لإخفاء شعورها بالألم عندما تعرف أن زوجها المتوفي لم يحفظ حقها في شراء المنزل، ما سيجعلها تخسر منزلها الذي ورثته عن زوجها لصالح شقيقه. تلجأ نوال للحيلة، فتدعي أنها حامل، ولكن تزداد الكذبة صعوبة بمرور الوقت وتجد نفسها أمام خيارات صعبة، وعليها أن تجد حلًا خلال ثلاثة أسابيع، فتنطلق الأرملة الشابة في رحلة محفوفة بالتحديات لمخاوفها ومعتقداتها وأخلاقها، وتقاتل لتٔامين منزل لها ولابنتها.
أمجد الرشيد مخرج وكاتب أردني من مواليد ١٩٨٥، حاصل على درجة الماجستير في الفنون السينمائية بتخصصي الإخراج والمونتاج. أختير أمجد ضمن قائمة "نجوم الغد العرب" من مجلة سكرين دايلي عام ٢٠١٦ ضمن ٥ مواهب سينمائية من العالم العربي. قبل ذلك، تم اختياره في ملتقى برليناله للمواهب خلال الدورة الـ٥٧ لمهرجان برلين السينمائي الدولي، ليقوم بعدها بإخراج ثلاثة أفلام قصيرة حازت على العديد من الجوائز والترشيحات في مهرجانات سينمائية عربية وعالمية.
