Synopsis

On her 39th birthday, Dana, one of Saudi Arabia's top news anchors, faces a harsh reality: she has just one year left in her career. Desperate to reclaim her fading spotlight, she turns to cosmetic surgery. But as the procedure unfolds, unexpected consequences begin to expose everything she thought she knew about her life, and herself.

Director’s biography

Samaher Mously is a filmmaker worked as a screener for Sundance's documentary film fund in 2020. In 2021, she joined the Red Sea International Film Festival's marketing department. In 2024 she directed her first narrative short, Rouge, a psychological thriller exploring the impact of the Botox industry on young women. Rouge premiered in Carthage film festival and has been labelled a short film market pick in Clermont film festival and recently screened at the first SXSW European edition in London.
