Synopsis

In the early 20th century, Ireland stands on the brink of revolution. Amid political unrest and rising tensions, one man emerges as a leader determined to change the course of history. Director’s biography

Neil Jordan is an Irish filmmaker, novelist, and screenwriter renowned for his versatile storytelling and exploration of complex characters. Born in Sligo, Ireland, in 1950, Jordan made his directorial debut with Angel (1982) and gained international acclaim for The Crying Game (1992), which won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Known for blending historical narratives with personal dramas, his works include Michael Collins (1996) and Interview with the Vampire (1994). Jordan's distinct style combines lyrical storytelling with rich visual aesthetics, earning him accolades worldwide. Beyond film, he is also an accomplished novelist with several published works.
