In war-devastated Gaza, Aloosh, Alaa Meqdad, is a short-statured, disabled clown fighting to reclaim his purpose as the "Joy Maker." Living in a tent with his family after their home in the Shati refugee camp is destroyed, he struggles daily for food, water, and survival. Yet through bombed streets and shattered spirits, he continues to perform for children, determined to bring light to the darkness. As war closes in, Aloosh clings to laughter and art amid unimaginable hardship.
A resident of Gaza, Abdulrahman Sabbah has dreamed of becoming a filmmaker since childhood. Due to the lack of film institutes in Gaza, he studied Journalism and Media instead. He currently works in the media sector with local television channels in Gaza. He has participated in several training courses in screenwriting and filmmaking, produced a number of documentary programs, and directed a documentary film titled Oral Testimonies.
