Richard and Kim co-create imagined moments of their future together; moments shadowed by Kim's sudden autism diagnosis and looming illness. As Richard cares for his partner, he is forced to confront a buried childhood trauma: the helplessness of watching his mother die. This hybrid film becomes an intimate portrait of love, loss, and the ghosts we carry, weaving a raw, emotional journey through memory, imagination, and the fear of failing those we love most.
Filmmaker Christian Abi Abboud was born on May 13, 1980, in Beirut, a city divided by civil war. His experience of growing up between east and west left a lasting mark on his childhood. These memories led him to study at the prestigious Institut d'études scéniques audiovisuelles et cinématographiques in Lebanon, where he graduated in 2002 with honours. His graduation film "Pile ou face" won first prize. He then worked as a film editor for several years. In 2016, he directed Ubuntu, which gained industry attention. Today, he's developing over four film projects with producers from diverse backgrounds and cinematic styles.
