Synopsis

A mysterious sound is frequently heard by young Edina, keeping her awake in the middle of the night. What will her parents do when the sound creeps in further? A psychological thriller based around the Palestinian right of return.

Director’s biography

Rakan Mayasi is an independent filmmaker from Palestine. He studied Cinema, Theatre & Psychology in Lebanon and then received film training at the Asian Film Academy in South Korea. He has written and directed several short films which have screened and won awards at numerous festivals including at Locarno Film Festival & Toronto International Film Festival. "The Key” is Mayasi’s latest short, a political/psychological thriller film.
