Synopsis

In the heart of Algiers, the kidnapping of a young girl sends shockwaves through the city, stirring deep-seated tensions and suspicions. Psychiatrist Dr. Dounia Assam and police inspector Sami join forces to unravel the mystery, delving into the city's haunting past. As they navigate the shadows of Algeria's history, they confront the lingering effects of a turbulent era, seeking truth amidst a web of secrets and trauma.

Director’s biography

Chakib Taleb-Bendiab is an Algerian screenwriter, filmmaker, and composer who has worked on many feature films and is one of the screenwriters behind the British spy series "GO DARK". His filmography includes several compelling short films, among them are the award-winning short flick "BLACK SPIRIT", which circulated at several prestigious festivals across the globe and received the Programmers Delight Award at the 2018 Sapporo International Short Film Festival and Market in Japan. And "SANG FROID", which won the Jury Award for Best Screenplay at the 2013 Sapporo International Short Film Festival and Market.
