Synopsis

On this hot summer day, 17-year-old Nayla is faced with the same dilemma every Lebanese youngster is faced with today – to leave or to stay. Two men in her life have set ideas about it, but both might wake up to a surprise.

Director’s biography

Leila Basma is a Lebanese filmmaker with an MFA in Directing from the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). Her short documentary “The Adam Basma Project” was short-listed for the 48th annual Student Oscars after its festival tour, and her graduation film “Sea Salt” is premiering at the 80th International Venice Film Festival.
