Mamoun Rtal Bennani, born in Casablanca in 1988, started as a self-taught photographer. He cultivated his passion by specializing in 19th-century techniques predating the first cameras. In 2013, he received his degree in architecture in Paris. He then decided to return to his native country, where he combines photography, architecture, and agriculture.
Jules Rouffio was born in Paris in 1990. He developed an interest in photography after receiving agricultural training during his many travels. He met Mamoun Rtal Bennani, a Moroccan photographer, with whom he collaborated on a series of photographic works featuring the old Mercedes cabs of Morocco. This series served as the inspiration for the short film “Bye Bye Benz Benz”.
