Synopsis

Hadeel, a young Palestinian refugee living in the El Hosn refugee camp in Jordan, wakes up every morning to explore the surroundings with her small cart. Her objective is clear and resolute: to collect recyclable waste in order to sell it and earn her daily dinar. This dinar is precious to her because it is intended for a specific purpose that is close to her heart.

Director’s biography

Moawea Al Omari is a filmmaker born in Irbid. He pursued a bachelor's degree in media - Radio and Television from Yarmouk University and is currently completing his master's degree in journalism and media.

During the "Short Narrative Film Production" workshop, supervised by Algerian director Professor Salah Issaad and organized by the RFC Jordan - Irbid Film Center, Moawea wrote and directed his short narrative film Dinar. During his studies, he also directed the short film The City of Salt as part of a course on documentary filmmaking for radio and television.
