Karim Bensalah was born in Algiers to an Algerian father and a Brazilian mother. His first short film, “Le Secret de Fatima” was selected and awarded at numerous festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand and broadcast on Arte. Bensalah then directed “Racine(s)” - a segment of the feature film “Pariz Ls Métisse - before joining the Collectif Tribudom. He is currently developing two feature films, one of which has been selected at Sundance Screenwriter's and Director's Lab. A screenwriter and consultant on other projects, Karim also pursues a career as an actor. He has also worked in image education for over ten years in France and Brazil.
