Amir Bensaifi, an Algerian author-director, co-founded the Constantine film club while studying at university. Despite obtaining an engineering degree in electronics, he pursued his passion for cinema and underwent training courses in Algeria and abroad, including the Ateliers Varan in Paris. After working on multiple film projects as an editor and assistant director, he founded his own production company, B.H.A productions, and co-produced a documentary aired on Ushuaia TV. Amir went on to direct and produce his first short film, The Moped and the Goldfinch.
