Synopsis
Sarah, Hasan, Gaith and Khairy are 20 year-old students in Paris. They arrived from Syria six years ago. They are refugees. They meet with their friend Emmanuel in his country house. They recall their trip and how they started their new lives in France. Are they still the people they used to be? Has being in exile completely changed them? As time goes by, they reveal what they have felt throughout their journey since they left Syria. With flashbacks and animations, their memories tell their stories.
Director’s biography
After training in the sound department of the École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle, Laurent Rodriguez began his career working on fiction and documentary shoots. For the last ten years, Rodriguez has devoted himself to directing, particularly short formats for the internet. “Même si tu vas sur la lune” is his feature length documentary debut in directing and writing.
